The evolving trends of DTF

14:00 UTC
Speaker: David Sweetnam, Keypoint Intelligence

DTF is maturing rapidly and is forcing businesses to evolve if they want to stay competitive and stand out from competitors. In this session, some of the metrics forcing this evolution including faster engines, wider ink set and film options, greater automation and workflow will be discussed. The daunting world of AI and the promised land of powderless technology are also set to change the goal posts for the industry – and will be explored. As an independent test organisation tasked with evaluating this equipment these factors are also putting new pressures on David and his team to keep up with the evolution and ensure their analysis stays relevant. Here, David will outline some of the changes they are looking to adopt as we enter another crazy year of DTF.

Challenges and innovative solutions in DTF textile printing

16:00 UTC
Speaker: Professor Long Lin, Print-Rite

Direct-to-film (DTF) printing has emerged as a revolutionary technology in the textile digital print domain, but technical challenges remain that need to be continuously addressed. At Print-Rite, we pride ourselves in being amongst the world-leading companies in terms of R&D investment. This talk will comprehensively explore the unique features, capabilities and far-reaching implications of DTF textile digital print; sharing examples of the development of some of our unique technologies. Such technologies include our unique technologies to solve the sedimentation issue of white ink in DTF application through unique additives and the modification of the ink formulation to enhance the stability of white ink and prevent sedimentation.  Also to be shared is our development of DTF powderless solutions that eliminate the need for powder application, rendering the process more friendly to humans and the environment and our experience in dye-sublimation DTF for foil stamping application.
